Clovis is getting a cookie shop.

This cookie shop delivers cookies to your car in the parking lot, or your home, along with its regular store setup. It also sells ice cream.

Crumbl Cookies is a national franchise with more than 75 locations in 11 states.

At 8 a.m. Thursday it will open its first location in the Fresno area, at the southeast corner of Herndon and Fowler avenues. It’s next to Five Guys and Butterfish.

It’s a business with a concept designed to keep you coming back to the shop. It only carries six types of cookies at a time.

Two are always on the menu: a warm milk chocolate chip cookie and a chilled sugar cookie with pink frosting.

The company found that people liked the sugar cookie better when it was chilled. It only releases cookies that meet with at least an 80% approval rate when it tests them, said franchise owner Nancy Tilby.

Tilby was a stay-at-home mom for 22 years – a job that involved plenty of cookie baking – with a background in food service before deciding to open a Crumbl Cookies franchise.

In addition to the chocolate chip and sugar cookies, the business rotates through four other cookie flavors each week, with about 100 options total. The cookies are baked in house.

This week, customers can get confetti cake cookies, Reese’s chip cookies, warm lemon glazed cookies and Biscoff lava cookies (cookies with a filling made from the spiced cookies you sometimes get on airlines).

The cookies are about 4 inches wide and cost $4 apiece. Customers can buy them individually, in four packs for $13, or party packs of 12 for $33.

“They’re big and they’re thick,” Tilby said. “They’re just really good.”

Crumbl also sells ice cream in prepackaged individual servings, including flavors raspberry cheesecake, Biscoff, muddy buddy, buckeye brownie, vanilla and churro.

All the goodies can be purchased in person at the shop, and delivered to homes via DoorDash. Crumbl also has its own app where customers can order cookies. When pulling into the parking lot, the app lets customers push “I’m here,” enter a description of their car and the Crumbl employee will bring their order to the car.

Crumbl is open late: “We’re here to satisfy those midnight cravings,” Tilby said.

Details: 1850 Herndon Ave. 559-345-5304. Hours: 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays, and closed on Sundays.
