Free cookies and discounted sandwiches as Fresno restaurants celebrate the Fourth of July
The restaurant world is a bit chaotic these days.
The coronavirus pandemic has put a halt to indoor dining, leaving takeout, delivery and patio dining as the only options at restaurants in Fresno, Tulare and Kings counties.
But that hasn’t stopped restaurants from celebrating the Fourth of July with free or discounted food deals.
Only, this time around, the deals come with socially distanced lines and the expectation that customers will wear masks. And you’ll have to eat the food at home.
Hungry Bear Cookies is thanking customers who have helped it stay open over the last few months by giving away free cookies.
You can get a free cookie – one per customer, no purchase necessary – from Friday to Sunday. The deal is at both locations, at Fig Garden Village and 1127 N Willow Ave., at the southeast corner of Nees Avenue. Masks are required at both locations.
Ike’s Love and Sandwiches plans to celebrate the holiday with a buy one sandwich, get one free deal Friday and Saturday. Show the post on Ike’s Instagram at @ikessandwiches or from its newsletter to get the deal.
Ike’s has two locations in Fresno, one at Campus Pointe near Fresno State and the other at 786 Palmon Drive.
Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches has a buy one, get one half off deal for sandwiches through Sunday.
The deal only applies to sandwiches ordered on its app and includes both 8-inch or 16-inch sandwiches. Customers must use the promo code “SAVEON2” when ordering. Sandwiches can be picked up at the restaurant or delivered to doorsteps without contact.
