These Fresno-area retailers will stay closed on Thanksgiving 2018
Thanksgiving is less than a week away. Cue the debate over stores opening on the holiday.
Each year this debate resurfaces as the informal shopping holiday Black Friday creeps into Thanksgiving Day. Some people say retail employees should be home enjoying the holiday with families. Retailers say they don’t force anyone to work the holiday and workers get double-time pay.
We’ll leave the debating up to you, but here’s some extra information if that topic is a factor in where you shop this year. Each year BestBlackFriday.com releases its list of national and regional retailers that stay closed for Thanksgiving. Most were closed for past Thanksgivings, too.
We’ve edited the list to include stores only in the Fresno area. Of course, it goes without saying that plenty of mom-and-pop stores stay closed on the day and don’t appear on this list.
