Popular Rocket Dog restaurant’s new Clovis location opens Friday
Rocket Dog Gourmet Brats & Brew’s second restaurant opened Friday.
The locally owned business took over the old Guadalajara restaurant at 1365 N. Willow Ave., on the northeast corner of Willow and Nees avenues.
The original Rocket Dog opened in 2015 at Shaw Avenue near Blackstone Avenue.
The restaurant is known for its emphasis on craft beer and sausages piled high with toppings.
The menu includes dishes like the bacon-wrapped, deep fried spicy hot link with Sriracha chili sauce, cheddar cheese and fresh cilantro. It also has healthier options with chicken sausages or veggie dogs. It also sells sandwiches, salads and stout floats, featuring Fresno State ice cream in stout beer.
The new Rocket Dog has 24 taps, about double the number at the original location.
The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays.
