Two new juice places opening in Fresno

At least two fresh juicing places are opening in Fresno – just in time to help fulfill those healthful New Year’s resolutions.

The first, Reinvent Juicery, opened a little over a month ago in the Save Mart shopping center at Herndon and Milburn avenues. The juicery is at 6701 N. Milburn Ave., Suite 150, close to the road.

The business, with owners in Sacramento, plunks everything from apples to fresh ginger to lemons with their rind into a machine that instantly turns them into juice.

Reinvent Juicery makes fresh-pressed juices and cold-pressed juices. Cold pressed juices are made in a different machine that chops the fruit and vegetables and then applies 15 tons of pressure. It presses out all the juice with no heat for maximum nutrients, says manager Julianna Fite.

“All we use is fruit, veggies and a little ice to blend,” she says.

No sugars or syrups are added, and the juice is not pasteurized.

The fresh-pressed juices cost $7 and cold-pressed are $9 and have names such as “applicious” and “detoxifier.”

Reinvent Juicery also makes $7 “blends” with almond milk that can be turned into protein shakes. (And with four gyms within a 1-mile radius, this might be a popular place for the muscle-building types.)

We use every part of the fruit and vegetable.

Also available are shots of ginger and wheat grass and acai bowls made with acai berries and other fruits.

Reinvent Juicery is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and until 4 p.m. on weekends.

Fashion Fair mall is also getting a Green Crush. It’s under construction behind barricades inside the main entrance of the mall near Starbucks.

It’s a smoothie and juice bar with flavors such as berry pomegranate, pineapple and watermelon picante topped with fresh fruit.

Green Crush is a franchise that has four locations in Southern California malls. It is expected to open in the next few months, according to Fashion Fair management.
