What you eat for breakfast is more often than not dictated by how much time you have. Got a couple of hours? A leisurely brunch on the nearest patio you can find sounds like the perfect prescription. Thirty minutes or less? Cereal it is.

Of course, if you're someone who values a hearty breakfast without the nerve-racking rush of trying to squeeze in bites between pulling your shirt over your head, you've probably found your sweet spot with overnight oats. They're filling, require minimal effort and make busy mornings a breeze - provided you actually remember to make them the night before.

Simply place dry oats in a mason jar, add in your preferred sweetener and milk of choice, cover, and let it sit overnight in the fridge. All you have to do in the morning is grab your prepared breakfast, layer on your toppings and head out the door. Mornings couldn't be any easier - or can they?

According to Quaker, the iconic oat brand that's been a breakfast staple for nearly 150 years, they can. Move over, overnight oats; Quaker Oat Shake & Go has officially entered the chat.

Quaker Launches Protein-Packed Oat Shake & Go

Now, instead of remembering to make your oats the night before, you can have a filling whole grain oat shake ready in just under a minute. That's right, friends: Quaker Oats has officially gone liquid. The newest innovation from Quaker's parent company, PepsiCo, comes in Strawberry & Banana and Cinnamon Vanilla flavors and delivers a whopping 23 grams of protein per serving when prepared with eight ounces of milk. Each shake also packs 16 grams of whole grains and three grams of fiber, making it a deliciously hearty way to kick-start the day.

Simply Shake and Go

Most importantly, it couldn't be any simpler to prepare. All you have to do is pour your liquid of choice up to the dotted fill line, replace the cap and tap the bottom to incorporate the powder, shake, and go. It's literally that easy.

The shakes are crafted without any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, and because they're shelf-stable, you don't have to worry about keeping them in the fridge.

It appears busy mornings have finally met their match. You'll find Quaker Oat Shake & Go in the hot cereal aisle at most major retailers sometime this July.

While we wait for this exciting new innovation to hit shelves, we'll just have to stock up on Trader Joe's quick-and-easy Brioche-Style Pancakes. Or, if you prefer to let someone else handle breakfast entirely, you can always stop by McDonald's and try something from its breakfast secret menu.
