There's big news in the pasta world: Barilla is debuting a new shape that's designed specifically to hold more sauce. The popular Italian brand is launching the new radiatori shape, which it describes as "a modern, sauce-gripping cut designed to hold more sauce and deliver more flavor in every bite."

The new shape joins Barilla's premium bronze-cut pasta line, Al Bronzo by Barilla, which is now certified organic. What makes the radiatori shape unique is its five-winged, layered shape, which is designed to hold onto more sauce from every angle. In addition to the radiatori shape, the Al Bronzo line also includes popular shapes like bucatini, spaghetti, mezzi rigatoni, penne rigate, fusilloni, and orecchiette.

"As more consumers explore new pasta shapes and experiment beyond traditional cuts, the new Radiatori offers a way to bring restaurant-style creativity into everyday cooking," Barilla told Parade in a statement.

The brand is also partnering with popular TikTok star-turned-cookbook author Meredith Hayden (you may know her as Wishbone Kitchen) to celebrate the launch. "Texture is one of the most overlooked parts of a great pasta dish. When the pasta really grips the sauce, you get a more balanced, flavorful bite every time-and that's what makes Al Bronzo so special," said Hayden. "You don't need more ingredients to make a pasta dish feel special-you just need the right pasta. When it holds onto the sauce the way Al Bronzo does, everything tastes more complete."

Organic Al Bronzo by Barilla will be available at Kroger stores starting in June before a larger rollout to select retailers nationwide this summer. Last month, Barilla turned heads with another new pasta shape, a special-edition F1 racing wheel-shaped pasta inspired by Formula 1 car wheels. The limited-time offering features a ridged circular shape that provides a textured bite that can hold onto sauce with ease.
