Heinz Just Revived Its Iconic Glass Ketchup Bottle-for a Limited Time
Heinz is rolling out a familiar favorite this grilling season, one that fans haven't seen in decades, but only at Walmart.
The popular condiment brand has been paired with mealtime favorites for 157 years and to celebrate, it's going back to its roots and bringing back one of its most recognizable-and now rare-releases.
This morning, Heinz announced a limited-time revival of its iconic glass ketchup bottles.
Heinz Is Reviving Its Iconic Glass Bottles for a Limited Time
When Heinz first hit shelves in 1876, it was sold in glass bottles to showcase its rich, hearty recipe. While its packaging changed with the times, it wasn't until the mid-1980s that it switched to a plastic, squeezable bottle, similar to what's offered today.

But now, 150 years later, it's reviving its glass packaging as part of Heinz's new "157 Years of Being Food's Best Friend" campaign, which the company said is "inspired by the rituals and fan behaviors that have made the brand a mealtime staple for generations."
Heinz's iconic glass ketchup bottle returned for a brief period in 2011, and after over a decade off shelves, it will be available exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide beginning May 20, while supplies last (prices may vary).
