We asked readers last month to nominate a gas station that served good food for a “best of” reader poll (see, also: best ice cream, best tamales and best barbershop).
After sifting through multiple nominations, here’s a compiled short list of the top 10 (in alphabetical order), including where the gas station is located and what foods it’s been praised for:
- Bobby Salazar’s inside Shell gas station at Maple and Jensen avenues (breakfast burritos)
- Krispy Krunchy Chicken inside Valero at Belmont and Abby avenues (fried chicken, biscuits)
- Pic N Go at Maple and Iowa avenues (fried chicken)
- Punjabi Naan inside Loma Vista market at Highway 180 and McCall avenues (Indian food)
- Ricos Tacos inside Valero at Marks and Olive avenues (Chile verde)
- Shell gas station at Jensen Avenue just east of Highway 99 (chicken and ribs meal)
- Shop N Go at Nees and Fowler avenues (breakfast burrito)
- The Station BBQ inside Valero at Shields and Maple avenues (brisket)
- Sticky BROS inside Clovis Jensen Food & Gas at Clovis and Jensen avenues (Hmong food, ham and cheese breakfast bars)
- Taqueria 444 inside Johnny Quik at Gettysburg and Clovis avenues (asada fries)
