This SLO brewery is one of the top 10 in the country, Martha Stewart Living says
A San Luis Obispo craft brewery is one of the best in the United States, according to Martha Stewart Living.
The magazine named SLO Brew’s The Rock one of the top 10 spots across the nation where guests can “belly up to the bar to inquire about what’s on tap.”
Other featured breweries include businesses in Denver; Grand Rapids, Michigan and Cooperstown, New York.
Located at 855 Aerovista Lane near the San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport, The Rock features a restaurant, tasting room and event space, as well as SLO Brew’s 30-barrel brewhouse and canning line.
“There’s plenty of room to spread out alfresco by the fire pits and enjoy a pint,” Kristine Hansen writes, noting that the venue’s signature brews include beers with “fun names” such as the SLO Death Hazy Double IPA and Churro Stout. “You might even spontaneously sign up for a tour.”
The Rock gives daily tours of the brewhouse every day to guests 21 years old and up.
In addition to craft beers, SLO Brewing Co. makes canned wine via its Porch Pounder brand and micheladas and margaritas under its Tio Rodrigo label. The company’s Rod & Hammer’s SLO Stills distillery crafts bourbon and rye whiskey.
