The Fresno Grizzlies have done it again. Except this time it isn’t tacos that’s getting national media love. It’s a fat pickle stuffed with loads of spicy chicken.

Sports Illustrated wrote about the Grizzlies latest wacky food creation, dubbed the Chickle.

Writer Jon Tayler described the concoction this way: “The arms race that is minor league food has just seen the deployment of the greatest weapon yet. On May 17 and 18, fans attending the final two games of the Fresno Grizzlies’ four-game set with the Nashville Sounds will be treated to something truly out there: a bunch of spicy chicken stuffed into a pickle, which they call frogurt a Chickle.”

Tayler calls it an “unholy marriage of sweet, spicy and salty that, quite honestly, sounds pretty good (or at least worth trying).”

Food & Wine, a magazine that caters to fans of fine dining, picked up Tayler’s story, posting it on their web page Wednesday.

If you are game, the Chickle will be available at Chukchansi Park during Wednesday and Thursday’s game against the Nashville Sounds.
