Central Valley Community Bank and Pacific Shredding will sponsor a free document shred day from 9 a.m. to noon April 27 at Central Valley Community Bank, 600 Pollasky Ave. in Clovis and May 10 at Central Valley Community Bank, 1795 Herndon Ave. in Clovis. Shred your old documents and confidential files limited to four banker boxes per person or business.

Walk/run benefits Hinds Hospice

Hinds Hospice will hold the 12th annual Angel Babies Walk/Run at 7:30 a.m. May 7 at Woodward Park in Fresno. The event will feature a 2-mile walk/run, a 5K run, kids races, a pancake breakfast and raffle prizes. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for kids 10 and under.

Cat shelter fundraiser May 7

The Cat House on the Kings is hosting a Spring Open House fundraiser 10 a.m.-2 p.m. May 7 at the Parlier-area facility, 7120 S. Kings River Road. There will be guided tours showcasing the no-cage, no-kill lifetime cat rescue and sanctuary, the event includes music, vendors, food, a raffle and a silent auction. Admission is a donation to The Cat House on the Kings: cash/check, dry cat or canned cat food, litter, bleach, cleaning supplies or paper towels.

Lithia Subaru helps animal shelter

Lithia Subaru of Fresno presented a $36,000 check to Animal Compassion Team. The nonprofit no kill animal shelter is supported completely by volunteers and is the beneficiary of the 2015 Subaru “Share the Love” event.

Roosevelt Class of ’46 to gather

Roosevelt High School’s Class of 1946 will hold its 70-year reunion luncheon at 1 p.m. May 25 at Seven Bar & Grill Restaurant, 25 Shaw Ave. in Clovis.

Democratic Women to meet April 25

Fresno County Democratic Women’s Club will hold its April meeting at 12:15 p.m. April 25 at Ramada Inn, 324 E. Shaw Ave. Social time begins at 10:45 a.m. and lunch will be at noon. Paula J. Landis, executive officer of California Water Commission, will speak on “California Water: Plumbing and Politics.” Tickets cost $20 for lunch and program or $5 for program only.
