One of the Greatest Drum Solos of All Time Belongs to 2019 Hit – And It Still Rocks
Great drum solos are hard to find, but when you find them, they're among the most enjoyable to experience. Sure, the 1970s and 1980s brought fantastic drum solos, with musicians like John Bonham and Keith Moon ruling the rock landscape. But, there are also plenty of modern drummers who take the spotlight and give us great solos today.
One of those drummers is Danny Carey of Tool. He's considered one of the most imaginative and exciting drummers of his generation. Now, one of his drum solos is being called one of the greatest of all time.
Melodics has a tally out of the best drum solos ever. "The drum solo has long held a special place in the hearts of music lovers and musicians alike," Melodics states in their piece. So, which solo gets the high marks? Any of his drum solos could be named among the best. But, Melodics loves the solo in Tool's "Chocolate Chip Trip."

It's such a great solo, and Carey and "Chocolate Chip Trip" certainly deserve the recognition. Thankfully, Carey is still making mind-blowing solos, so expect more ahead.
