Horses are deeply social animals, which makes the story of this Appaloosa mare named Stormie especially touching. After spending most of her life without the companionship of other horses, and not even seeing another horse for more than three years, Stormie was finally introduced to a herd of her own in this heartwarming video shared by @cliffordandfriends.

The introductions were kept brief, with Stormie remaining on a lead while the other horses eagerly approached to say hello. Clearly unsure of what to expect, Stormie appeared nervous, while the herd was remarkably patient and gentle with her. What followed has viewers reaching for the tissues as the mare finally experienced something she'd been missing for years: friendship.

Stormie's mom shared in the caption, "Our new mare Stormie was surrendered to us by our neighbor. She'll make a wonderful addition to our herd ."

From what we've seen in other videos, she's settling in quite nicely, too!
