'Disclosure Day' End Credits: Is There a Post-Credits Scene for Spielberg's New Movie?
Steven Spielberg hasn't made a movie for several years, so fans have good reason to be excited by the release of Disclosure Day, especially because the movie, which debuts in theaters on June 12, 2026, returns to the topic that Spielberg is known for. Extra-terrestrials.
Spielberg also said in an interview that he believes that the idea that the world has been in communication with "off-planet civilizations" is likely a "truth." But the information isn't being shared with all citizens. The movie exposures this very topic.
However, if you're heading to the theater for a Disclosure Day showing, and many Americans will be, should you stay after the end? Is there an end credits or post-credits scene at the end of Disclosure Day?
No, There Is Not an End Credits or Post Credits Scene at the End of Spielberg's 'Disclosure Day'
According to NBC, there is no end or post credits scene. Rather, "the credit roll for Disclosure Day is standard and includes music cues from John Williams' latest collaboration with Steven Spielberg," NBC reported.
Disclosure Day deals with a timely topic since the U.S. government has been releasing a tranche of never-before-seen documents on UFOS. What would happen if people found out what the government really knows about aliens?
According to NBC, Spielberg, known for movies like E.T.,War of the Worlds, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, came up with the idea himself. Emily Blunt, Josh O'Connor, and Colin Firth star in Disclosure Day.
A Moviegoer Believes Steven Spielberg Was Sending a Message With the Final Scene in 'Disclosure Day'
A Reddit user who saw the film created a thread devoted to the ending scene of the movie, warning readers about a spoiler. Don't keep reading if you don't want to learn about that scene. The user said they saw the movie in an Arizona theater.
"Ok, so essentially there is a full disclosure of tons of footage from Roswell and other significant events broadcasted to all news networks across the country. This includes footage of the beings and their corpses being pulled from vehicles," wrote the Reddit user.
"During this disclosure, at the broadcast centre we see a main character wheel in one of the beings mentioned in the film and clearly one that was involved in the abduction of the two main characters when they were children. This being speaks in a dialect only understood by one character and whispers in his ear, who then passes the message on to the other individual who is broadcasting this disclosure in English."
Concluded the user, "We do not hear what he says, but we see her share the a message on screen to the world. The movie goes full screen on the woman who is staring at you the audience and says 'Listen.' The movie cuts to black and credits roll."
What was this moviegoer's analysis? "To me, this felt like Spielberg telling the audience to listen to these stories and disclosures. I found it pretty amazing personally and it really landed with me."
