Google sells several Redwood City office buildings

REDWOOD CITY — Google sold three office buildings in recent weeks and struck a deal to sell several others in Redwood City, documents show.

The tech giant sold three Pacific Shores Center buildings at 1100, 1200, and 1300 Seaport Blvd. for $45.6 million, documents on file with the San Mateo County Recorder’s Office show.

Farallon Capital Management headed up a group that used an affiliate to buy them, according to state and county documents.

San Francisco-based Farallon Capital obtained $173.6 million in financing from Acore Capital at the time of the purchase. The documents were recorded on April 30.

In addition to the three sales, Google also reached an agreement to sell several other office buildings in Pacific Shores Center to an entity that includes real estate firm Harvest Properties, county documents show.

Ryan Lamont, a Google spokesperson, confirmed the sales at Pacific Shores Campus. He said the company hasn't occupied the buildings since July 2024.

The selling activity arrives in the wake of Google’s creation of its Meadow Point campus in North San Jose’s Alviso district. It's part of the company's overall investment in San Jose that totals at least $1.08 billion in real estate purchases at three distinct locations.

Lamont said Google planned to continue its investment in the Bay Area.
