BUDAPEST - Hungary reported African swine fever in domestic pigs for the first time, the National Food Chain Safety Office said in a statement on Thursday.

Authorities ordered the culling of 3,000 pigs on the farm that is affected, and they are investigating the source of the infection and whether it has spread further, the statement said.
