'How I Met Your Mother' Actor Stabbed Ex-Girlfriend Over 20 Times

An actor who once appeared on the hit show How I Met Your Mother has been sentenced to 32 years to life after he was convicted of the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend.

Nick Pasqual, a 36-year-old actor who has appeared in several television shows throughout his career, was convicted of his crimes last month. Now, he has officially been sentenced.

'Inflicted Great Bodily Harm'

Last month, ABC7 reported that Pasqual had been convicted of first-degree residential burglary with a person present and injuring a spouse, cohabitant, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend, or child's parent. On Tuesday, the outlet reported that he had officially been sentenced to 32 years in prison.

Pasqual had been accused of breaking into the Los Angeles home of his ex-girlfriend, Allie Shehorn, who was a Hollywood makeup artist, back in May 2024. Prosecutors said that the actor "inflicted great bodily injury upon the victim under circumstances involving domestic violence."

According to the Los Angeles Times, Shehorn was found in a pool of her own blood with more than 20 stab wounds throughout her body. ABC7 reported that the 35-year-old makeup artist testified during Pasqual's trial as she appeared in court with visible scars on her body.

Not the First Incident

This was not the first incident between Pasqual and Shehorn, as she had previously filed for a restraining order against Pasqual, accusing him of domestic violence. Shehorn said that she and the actor were in a violent fight that led to their breakup.

"I locked the door and he just started punching holes in that door and broke that open," she said of the first incident, according to ABC. "I just ran into the bathroom because I thought there's another lock on that door."

Pasqual was actually arrested after the first incident, but he was released from jail on $50,000 bail. Five days later, he stabbed Shehorn.

Hollywood Couple

Both Pasqual and Shehorn were involved in the entertainment industry.

Shehorn is an accomplished makeup artist, with credits on Mean Girls, Rebel Moon and Babylon.

Pasqual, meanwhile, appeared in several television shows throughout his acting career, including one episode of How I Met Your Mother. He has more than 30 credits on his IMBd page.
