Shortly after, the baby donkey followed her lead and knelt down in the dust. He rolled around a couple of times before he excitedly lit up and ran around.

The baby enjoyed some zoomies before he tried the dust bath again. He tried a few more rolls and lit up at how fun and relaxing it was for him to roll around in the dust. He went back for a few more rolls before he came up to the camera for some scratches.

The adorable moment captured viewers' hearts and attention, with users commenting on how "proud" they are that he learned about dust baths.

"Great, now I need a baby donkey too," one user commented, while another said, "honestly, this was the purest moment of my day."

Another user pointed out that they've "never seen baby donkey zoomies before and I'm not disappointed."

"The way I cheered FULL ROTATION the first time this cutie succeeded ," another commenter wrote. One user even noted that the baby is "so fast at zoomies, but he has to slow right down to get on the ground ."

Why Donkeys Love Dust Baths

Donkeys don't need regular baths like other animals because of their thick fur coats. According to Working Animals International, donkeys should be brushed regularly to keep their coats clean.

Because Donkeys are considered a "desert species," they also use dust and dirt to help clean themselves. According to the Long Ear Rescue, dust baths are actually considered to be "good hygiene on the donkeys' part."

"Dust keeps away mites and other skin issues naturally," they explain. "Since it doesn't rain often in the desert, donkeys have not evolved to have oil in their coats to protect them from freezing rain, wind, sleet, and snow that [other regions may] bring."
