Do Cats Dream While Sleeping?

Watching cats sleep is so cute because they always look so peaceful, and according to experts, they dream just like we do.

PetMD explains that, like most other mammals, cats dream, and that it's an important part of their overall health, as it is for people. They explain that they're not dreaming the whole time they're asleep, like we're not, but when they enter sleep, there are a few telltale signs.

The site shares that if you watch your kitty while they're in one of their many sleep phases and you see them chirp or purr, twitch their paws or whiskers, do meow sounds, or make a variety of facial expressions, that's them probably very much dreaming.

What do they dream about? Well, it could be anything, but we can't really know for sure. But if they dream as we do, it's probably about something that stresses them out, excites them, surprises them, or anything in between.
