This Golden Retriever Took a Post-Swim Bath, and He Was a Diva About It
Oatmeal the golden retriever had spent the entire day at the pool, and he was absolutely happy about it. Unfortunately for Oatmeal, that also meant he needed to take a bath, and yes, he was an absolute diva about it.
A fluffy and happy golden retriever, Oatmeal, who has his own YouTube channel (@AdriaAndOatmeal), isn't one to make things easy on his human. At the end of the day, as his human says, "even stars need a bath." From adequate water temperature to the right amount of lather for his soap, Oatmeal requires the right kinds of things for a perfect bath. With the most detailed precision, this golden gets the bath he absolutely deserves.

A Bath Time to Remember

Not your typical bath for your typical dog, Oatmeal enjoyed a head-to-toe cleanse courtesy of his human. Between full-body scratches and being turned into a dinosaur, let's just say this was one interesting bath. To make things even more interesting, Oatmeal's sibling, ‘Crusty' Carl (real name), decided to steal some of the golden's camera time, which was something Oatmeal did not enjoy.
After shaking off his mom's hard work, Oatmeal was ready for a rinse down. Being the multitasker that he is, the golden retriever also took the time to water the plants after shaking off all of the water on him. Although his mother tried her best to towel-dry him, Oatmeal was displeased with her work and decided to do it himself.
In the last step in his bath routine, Oatmeal got a good blow dry and brush to get those hairs perfectly fluffed. After, his human lathered him in coconut oil, just for him to lick it off his body. For the last step, his human massaged his ears to prevent an ear infection, and he was good to go.

While it seems like it was definitely an exhausting bath routine, Oatmeal looked every bit of handsome at the end.
"Oatmeal is mad he is crustier than crusty Carl," said one commenter.
Another person joked, "Crusty is the best guest star. She just cracks me up. She's the Newman to Oat's Jerry."
However, the majority of the comments simply couldn't get past one of Oatmeal's humans' most hilarious quips, "I was too busy turning him into a dinosaur."
While we don't know exactly what a dinosaur with fur might've looked like, we can't help but imagine that they looked exactly like Oatmeal.
