Horse's Emotional Reaction to Seeing Other Horses Again After Years Alone Moves Viewers to Tears
Every horse rescue is special and life-changing, but some stories-like Stormie's-are especially moving. This rescued mare arrived at her new home on May 27 after spending years as the only horse on her property. She hadn't had another horse as a friend in so long, but the neighbor she was surrendered to, @cliffordandfriends, wasted no time introducing her to her new four-legged family.
Watching this rescued horse seeing other horses after years alone is moving enough to leave anyone teary-eyed. Take a look-and don't forget the tissues!
@cliffordandfriends Our new mare Stormie was surrendered to us by our neighbor. She'll make a wonderful addition to our herd #appaloosa#horsetok#belgiandrafthorse#fypage#maresoftiktok

Just look at how happy she is! This gorgeous Appaloosa horse could have been nervous after so many years by herself, but she took to Clifford right away. To be fair, he's an absolutely stunning horse-who wouldn't love him?
"You had to introduce her to the Pedro Pascal of horsies?" commenter @pawswatts asked. Clifford's looks and size may be intimidating for a few different reasons, but his outgoing personality can be especially inviting for rescue horses like Stormie.

"I, too, react strongly to the sight of a tall, handsome man," @vivantrix agreed. LOL! Plenty of viewers interpreted Stormie's excitement as interest in her new boyfriend, but only time will tell what kind of relationship she and Clifford develop.
As a draft horse, Clifford is especially tall and muscular compared to other horses. He's the star of the TikTok account @cliffordandfriends, and there's no question he's the head of the welcome committee for new farm friends, too.
What Happens When Horses Are Alone?
Horses are social animals who live in herds and need daily interaction with others to live happy, fulfilled lives. Even if a horse has everything they need and plenty of enrichment items to play with, nothing can replace the safety and comfort of having a friend.
These animals can also be stoic, so signs of loneliness or distress-like pacing, lethargy, or reactivity-may not always be obvious. The neighbor who surrendered Stormie made the right call to reunite her with other horses, even though she'd been alone for years. Because of that selfless decision, she can be the social, happy horse she was always meant to be!
