This Standard Poodle Looks Like Somebody Trapped a Victorian Man in a Dog Body

There are cute dogs.

There are funny-looking dogs.

And then there is Fenris, a Standard Poodle who genuinely looks like somebody cursed a mildly alarmed Victorian man into living the rest of his life inside a dog's body.

Honestly, I say this with deep affection.

He's odd. Yes he's okay he's just byb asf and shaved down #standardpoodle#notadog#fypシ

Shared on TikTok by @jordanlynn77, the hilarious clip shows Fenris staring into the camera with an expression that can only be described as "medieval peasant witnessing modern medicine for the first time."

The caption perfectly sums up the situation:

"Does that dog bite? No, but I'm not entirely sure he is a dog."

And honestly? Fair.

Fenris is a shaved-down black-and-white Standard Poodle with unusually expressive reddish eyes that somehow make him look simultaneously:

• Haunted

• Human

• Slightly bewildered

• Weirdly polite

• Like he knows too much

At certain angles, he genuinely resembles one of the hyenas from The Lion King mixed with a tiny, exhausted Victorian accountant.

People in the Comments Were Absolutely Losing It:

• "He looks medieval."

• "Pookie, are you sure he doesn't have a zipper on his back or something?"

• "I'm not sure if even he's sure he's a dog."

• "He definitely has a zipper somewhere."

• "He looks like a dog's chew toy came alive."

Honestly, the "zipper" comments are painfully accurate because Fenris truly has the energy of a man disguised as a dog trying VERY hard not to break character.

But despite his hilariously uncanny appearance, the video also makes it very obvious he's an extremely happy little guy.

Which somehow makes the whole thing even more charming.

Because underneath the vaguely haunted Victorian energy is just a sweet, weird dog living his best life.

Meanwhile, my elderly Orange Cat, Tarkus, also occasionally stares at me with the exhausted expression of a Civil War doctor who has simply seen too much, so honestly, I deeply respect animals with oddly human faces.

Why Do Some Dogs Have Such Human-Like Expressions?

THAT DOG LOOKS TOO HUMAN LIKE #foruyou#fyp#scary

Dogs can sometimes appear unusually human because people naturally interpret facial expressions, posture, and eye contact emotionally.

Certain Breeds Especially Known for Expressive Faces Include:

Standard Poodles

• Brussels Griffons

• Bulldogs

• Terriers

Shih-Tzus

• Mixed breeds with prominent eyes or eyebrows

Facial grooming can also dramatically change a dog's appearance and highlight features that seem oddly human or cartoonish.

And honestly? Fenris may currently be one of the most unintentionally hilarious dogs on the internet.
