These East Bay cities are throwing a major ‘Twist' festival in June

Three East Bay valleys, three days of culture and excitement – it’s the first annual Tri-Valley Twist, a new festival split among Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin and Danville.

The inaugural "Twist" will not feature the wonderful dance popularized by Chubby Checker. However, it will feature more than two-dozen events encompassing everything from food to art to live music to waterpark fun. Want a car show? There’s one for Alfa Romeos at the Blackhawk Museum. Is cooking your jam? Livermore is throwing a cuisine competition for local chefs, with tasty samples for all attendees.

Throw into the mix rock and symphony concerts, wine pairings, a Filipino American film festival, stand-up comedy, a Greek festival, gallery shows and a country-themed block party with barbecue and line dancing. There’s something for everyone, including a dip in the water at The Wave park in Dublin.

"We've taken the soul of our four distinct communities — their incredible arts, music and culinary scenes — and added a creative ‘twist’ that turns a standard weekend into an immersive celebration," says Tracy Farhad, CEO of the promotional group Visit Tri-Valley. "We're inviting everyone to come find their vibe, experience something new and maybe discover an unexpected side of the Tri-Valley."
