IKEA Is Selling Ribbed Orange Wine Glasses That Are So Chic for Summer BBQs

Although the glasses were designed to look like they're made of glass, they're actually composed of reusable plastic, making them a safe option for outdoor events. And the best part? They now come in the loveliest shade of orange. Read on for the details!

IKEA just rereleased its plastic KALLSINNIG wine glass for summer 2026. In the past, the cup was offered in colors like emerald green and light blue. But this time, IKEA is selling the glass in a new colorway: orange.
The KALLSINNIG, which was designed by Inma Bermudez, is a ribbed wine glass in a transparent pale orange hue. The bowl of the glass is flat at the bottom, giving it a fun modern look. It also holds 11 ounces of liquid.
The wine glass is made from polystyrene-acrylic plastic, a durable plastic material that IKEA says "won't break easily." It is designed to be used over and over again and it's even dishwasher-safe.
The KALLSINNIG's durability makes it a great option for outdoor garden parties, pool parties, picnics and barbecues this summer. That said, sunlight will fade the color of these cups - so when they're not in use, keep them out of the sun.

Additionally, there is the regular drinking glass version of the orange KALLSINNIG, which also features a contemporary ribbed design. The drinking glass is a bit bigger than the wine glass, as it holds 13 ounces of liquid.
One recent four-star review from a Canadian customer described the KALLSINNIG as "unbreakable."
"Nice warm tone," the reviewer wrote on the IKEA website. "Cup does get cloudy over time if they are washed in an automatic dishwasher. Ribbed on the outside for good grip. Nice weight not too heavy but not likely to blow over in a strong breeze."
If orange isn't your thing, IKEA is also selling a light blue version of the KALLSINNIG drinking glass online, but it's marked as "last chance."
And although these glasses are durable, remember that they aren't indestructible. Last year, one reviewer noted that her child broke a blue KALLSINNIG drinking glass and it created sharp pieces - so exercise caution when using these cups around children or animals.
