The Boys' Season 5, Episode 8: Who Will Die Tonight?

After five seasons of bloody encounters, inappropriate jokes, and sharp political satire, Prime Video's The Boys has reached its final episode. The season has featured the team's pursuit of V1, a compound meant to defeat Homelander, but the big bad of the show already got to it before our antiheroes.

Homelander took out Fenchie in the penultimate episode, a shocking death of a character that everyone loved. Who else is set to meet their end in the series finale? This is a ranking of who is most likely to die in tonight's climax.

4. Ashley Barrett

Ashley has been avoiding her demise for quite some time. She even recognized how lucky she is in the previous episode when she told her second face that they should feel incredible gratitude for making it this far into Homelander's reign. With Ashley being one of Homelander's final lackeys left standing, don't be shocked if she's finally cast aside.

3. Oh Father

Oh Father has been one of the most evil people in the final season of the show. Doing everything he can to brainwash people into thinking Homelander is a deity that needs to be worshipped, this warped priest is the secondary antagonist right now. What else is there to do with him besides have the Boys put him down?

2. Billy Butcher

Butcher is willing to put his life on the line to kill Homelander. His dedication to the cause of the vigilante group is his defining personality trait. Assuming there will be a big final battle between the two characters, it's assumed that Butcher would be the most likely protagonist to bite the dust during the finale.

1. Homelander

Homelander's death seems to be narratively imminent. He's the biggest villain in modern TV history. He's done unspeakable things to those around him. It's time for Homelander to die. Sometimes something is so obvious it just has to happen. But how will it happen?

The Boys seem to have figured out how to disarm Homelander using uranium. If they can figure out how to enact their plans rather than just talk about them, Butcher and the crew may have the power to take a powerless Homelander to the grave.
