Quest Nutrition's Latest Flavors Took Center Stage at USA Rugby Training Camp
That was the biggest takeaway after spending time alongside members of the USA Rugby team during a recent high performance experience hosted by Quest Nutrition at the Chula Vista Elite Training Center in San Diego. The event leaned heavily into a reality most everyday gym goers are starting to realize: elite performance is built just as much through recovery, convenience nutrition, and consistency as it is through the workout itself.
Throughout the experience, athletes moved from rugby drills and conditioning sessions into recovery work, mobility, poolside downtime, and interviews. And through every part of it, protein was constantly part of the environment. Not in a forced way, but in the same practical way high level athletes actually fuel throughout long training days.
USA Men's Rugby forward Adam Channel explained it simply.
"Keeping my body healthy is what's important when you've made it this far," he said while discussing the demands of competing at the international level.
That mindset showed up everywhere during the trip. Between sessions, athletes and guests were constantly reaching for Quest Protein Bars, the newly released Quest Protein Milkshakes, and the new Quest Protein Chips, which honestly became one of the most talked about products during the experience.
My personal favorite was easily the Dill Pickle Protein Chips. They were getting eaten throughout the trip between workouts, recovery sessions, and downtime around the facility!
What made the experience memorable wasn't just the products themselves. It was seeing how modern athletes actually use convenience nutrition in real environments. Recovery has become part of performance culture now, and Quest clearly understands that shift.
