Rhea Ripley Named Top Female WWE Wrestler by Fans After Earning 2,958 Votes
The current WWE women's roster is absolutely stacked with rising rookies, superstars in their primes, and a handful of icons from the past. As a result, the competition to be named the No. 1 performer among that group is fierce. Despite that, a fan ranking has Rhea Ripley as their top choice by far.
Why Fans Crowned Rhea Ripley the 'Top Female WWE Wrestler Right Now'
Ranker created a list of the "Top 25 Female WWE Wrestlers Right Now" in May 2025. The website allowed fans to continuously vote on the ever-changing ranking, which is what makes the results so fascinating. According to the fan vote, Rhea Ripley is No.1, having received 2,958 votes as of this writing. That is especially noteworthy since the performer who came in second place, Iyo Sky, received far fewer votes, 1,972.
Ranker's article points to several reasons why Ripley reaching No. 1 makes perfect sense. It notes her "aggressive, no-nonsense wrestling style," her ability to thrill viewers, her feud against Charlotte Flair, and her standout matches. She has won a slew of accolades, including the WWE Women's Championship, the Women's World Championship, the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, and the NXT Women's Championship. She is also a Women's Grand Slam Champion, won the Women's Royal Rumble, and has earned three Slammy Awards.
Given that Ripley is still relatively early in her already stellar career, it will be fantastic to watch what more she can accomplish. While nobody can know what will happen for sure, it is almost certain that she will continue to have the support of millions of fans as she progresses.

Why Rhea Ripley's Superstar Status Inspires Many
There are many reasons why Rhea Ripley stands out so much, even among so many talented WWE wrestlers. One of them is that when she is performing, she arguably commands attention better than anyone else on the current WWE roster. She is able to carry herself with extreme confidence, and she draws fans in with her seemingly boundless charisma that practically demands everyone's attention.
After fans got to know her as her on-screen character, Ripley did something truly spectacular. She let the world in on what she goes through as she prepares to perform. During episodes of the behind-the-scenes show, WWE: Unreal, and during interviews, she has been very open about suffering from panic attacks and severe anxiety. The fact that she can overcome that and still be so incredibly compelling is nothing less than inspirational. That is wonderful since Ripley remarked on her desire to inspire others during an interview.
"The whole reason that I wanted to be in the spotlight that I am is to make people realize that they can accomplish anything in their lives as well. I was a little girl from Adelaide, South Australia. I didn't think that I would be able to make it all the way to America to become a WWE superstar. But I followed my dream, and I did it. And that's the one thing that I want everyone else to be able to accomplish, too. I want them to know that their down period, it's not forever. They can pull themselves out of it. It's just, it's all a mindset."
During a separate interview, Ripley described having a lengthy panic attack before her WrestleMania 40 match against Becky Lynch. "I legit was having a straight-up panic attack for like two hours before I walked through the curtain. I was violently shaking, nervous. If you don't get nervous before you go out, especially at WrestleMania, you obviously don't love it enough. That's the way I think about it. So I'm glad that the nerves were there, but at the same time they were sort of taking over my body."
