Mini Dachshund Gently Rests His Head on Mom Before Falling Asleep-and It Says Everything
Having a dog in your life is one of the best experiences because when a pup loves, they love hard. They don't hesitate to share their affection, even if they have quiet ways of showing their trust and gestures that you're loved by them.
In this video, we meet a Mini Dachshund who makes it no secret how he feels about his mama. When it comes to nap time, he likes to put his head where he feels the safest, and the gentleness of the moment is so unbelievably sweet. Take a look!

TikToker @frankin.the.sausage.dog shared a video of the cute Mini Dachshund, who looks like he's run out of energy and is more than ready to take a nap. And he knew exactly where he wanted to rest, and it's absolutely adorable.
Sitting with his mama on the couch, he cuddles up into her arms, and you can see him very slowly and gently moving to rest his head on his mom. He's adorable in general, but seeing his eyes look like they're smiling while he's drifting off to sleep, you can tell he knows how loved he is. The clip shows three different times Franklin cuddled up on his human in the same way, and how his cute head flops down, and it's just so precious.

Why Dogs Sleep Close to Their Favorite Person and What It Says About Trust and Attachment
Franklin is such a sweet doggy, and you can tell how much he loves his mama, which makes total sense given how he peacefully drifted off to sleep.
According to MyWoof, dogs are pack animals, and they like to be in groups to feel bonded and safe. In the wild, like wolves, dogs sleep together for safety and comfort, so when a pup stays close to their favorite person during naps or sleep, that's them saying how much they trust and love that person.
This can be especially true if your dog is feeling anxious or stressed, or if they're not feeling well, because dogs feel better with their humans around.
Of course, if your pooch doesn't sleep next to you and they prefer to sleep by themselves, that doesn't mean they don't trust or love you. Some dogs, like people, just sleep better in a different setup, and that's OK, too.
