Tiny Chihuahua Has a Perfect ‘Lion King' Simba Moment During Car Ride
Whether they mean to or not, little dogs always look like teeny-tiny babies who might think they're tough, but are actually the definition of "cuteness overload." If you throw a fuzzy sweater on them and cradle them in the palm of your hand, they exceed the limits of cute and enter another realm entirely.
This all describes Franklin, one of the smallest and most legendary Chihuahuas to ever walk the earth. During a recent car ride, this tiny man channeled his inner Simba, and everyone is losing their minds over it!

Anyone who's watched The Lion King remembers the king holding baby Simba up as he showed the masses his new lion cub, and Franklin trying to nap in this iconic pose hits all the right vibes. The adorable Chihuahua must be so tired from being one of the internet's superstars because he can barely keep his eyes open, even in the most uncomfortable pose ever!

Normally, Franklin is a pretty clingy and demanding Velcro pup who prefers being held or glued to Mom's side over anything else. Even when she's inches away, the small boy gives her a piece of his mind. He's dramatic and loud and loves to complain, but he's just so precious, so I say he can do whatever he wants!
Look at this performance. It's award-worthy!

Why Do Small Dogs Like To Be Held So Much?
As you can see, Franklin is beyond small, even by Chihuahua standards, so it makes sense that he'd rather be held than navigate the big, scary world alone. Aside from the safety aspect, small dogs get a much better view from up high, and it serves as another way to bond with their parents.
When they're so tiny, being held can ease anxiety, fear, and the overwhelming feeling, specifically in crowds or big environments where they'd otherwise be vulnerable around all the moving feet!
Conserving energy in the palm of Mom's hand is exactly what the doctor ordered for Franklin. A Simba moment in the car while dressed to the nines might be the very thing to keep Franklin on his best, less dramatic behavior!
