Photos: Bay Area flat where OpenAI was launched listed for $1.5 million

The San Francisco unit where two of OpenAI's founders Greg Brockman and Sam Altman began the company has been listed for $1.545 million.

Brockman leased the apartment in the 1885 Victorian in the Mission District in 2015 shortly after the building had been renovated. The living room became headquarters for the earliest stages of the artificial intelligence company.

The 1,816-square-foot home features three bedrooms and two baths on two levels. The main living level offers an open concept with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams and includes a modern kitchen. Upstairs the primary suite has an attached deck overlooking a shared garden.

OpenAI is well-known for its creation of ChatGPT. The company also lists other key founders including Elon Musk and Ilya Sutskever.
