Discover Why Singapore Airlines Is the Top Choice for Comfort and Amenities in 2026

Twelve hours in a bad seat has a way of exposing exactly how much an airline actually cares about its passengers. The best airline for comfort and amenities gets the details right across every cabin class: seat design, humidity levels, in-flight entertainment, food, and crew.

I evaluated the best airlines of 2026 by pulling from industry rankings, customer reviews, and firsthand experience-weighting everything from economy legroom to loyalty program value. When it comes to comfort and amenities, Singapore Airlines set the standard, earning a well-deserved spot in the 2026 Men's Journal Travel Awards.

Why Singapore Airlines Is the Best Airline for Comfort and Amenities

There's a comfortable cabin, then there's Singapore Airlines. It's long been the benchmark for onboard comfort, but in late 2024, it raised the bar by investing nearly a billion dollars in a multi-year program to retrofit its Airbus aircrafts with long-haul cabin products. This "all-new travel experience" will include new first class cabins; revamped business class seats; refreshed economy and premium economy cabins; and enhancements across in-flight entertainment, food and beverage, amenity kits, and serviceware. Singapore Airlines is also debuting Low Earth Orbit satellite connectivity across its fleets, which offers broadband-level internet speeds in the air. For context, that means you'll have access to seamless 4K streaming and video calls while at 35,000 feet.

Besides all of these improvements on the way, the airline is known for its extensive use of the Airbus E350-900, allowing for higher cabin humidity and lower altitude pressurization. It's combined this with new circadian LED lighting meant to reduce jet lag. The airline has also partnered with some big names in luxury, from Le Labo for Business Class amenities to Lalique for First Class bedding. The airline was also honored by Skytrax in 2025 for having the "best cabin crew in the world."

Why You Should Trust Me

A professional travel and hospitality writer, I fly for both work and leisure frequently throughout the year, both domestically and internationally. I hold credit cards with flight perks from multiple airlines, and often flights are booked for me by public relations professionals, meaning I experience travel on several different airline carriers each year regardless of my own preferences, more often than not in economy class.
