Tandoori Pizza now open in Foster City
Tandoori Pizza is now open in Foster City, with another planned location in Millbrae, bringing Indian-fusion pizza and bites to the Peninsula.
The restaurant, launched in 2015 by founder Tejinder Singh, offers a menu blending creative pairings of Indian spices and sauces with Italian pizza toppings. Butter chicken or achari gobhi (spiced cauliflower curry) top thick pizza crusts topped with mozzarella cheese, red onions and tomatoes, for instance.
The restaurant also offers Italian-style pizzas, like margherita and pepperoni, along with sides like tandoori or buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers. Rounding out the menu, it also has salads, pastas and desserts.
Today, the chain has additional locations around the U.S., with Bay Area operations in Fremont, Brentwood, Sunnyvale, Union City, Milpitas, Richmond, Fresno, Concord, San Jose, Pittsburg, Dublin, San Ramon and Pleasanton.
Customers are assured in the chain’s online FAQ that, yes, people can customize their own spice levels.
Details: Open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily at 1031 E Hillsdale Blvd., Suite B, Foster City; tandooripizza.com/foster-city
