There are very few things that the majority of Americans agree on, but one of the biggest ones is Costco food. In general, it's a classic: big portions, small prices. However, there's one thing that seems to have a true cult following: the rotisserie chicken!

One stray cat recently got her first taste of this iconic treat, and she did what any reasonable kitty would: brought her babies back for more. Luckily for her, her new human friends were all too happy to help:

Vanessa Duran not only gave the stray cat some Costco rotisserie chicken, but she also got some sardines. Truly, she was living the dream for that meal! Like a good mother would, though, she knew she needed to bring her kittens back so they could get some.

She had two kittens with her, and Vanessa decided to take them all under her wing as a family. They've all been given names: Mama is Chicken, and her babies are Sardine and Churro. They're named after their favorite foods!

Mama and babies are not yet spayed or neutered, but that'll come soon. There are no plans to separate the family: they'll likely get to stay together, eating rotisserie chicken, forever. They've definitely got some lost time to make up for:

Can Cats Have Rotisserie Chicken?

If you have a Costco membership and a pet... Odds are, they've had a little taste of Costco rotisserie chicken. My dogs definitely have, and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Rotisserie chicken isn't dangerous for cats (or dogs), especially in small quantities. It is definitely very salty, and some parts of the chicken are fattier than others, but a little taste won't hurt. Try to give a cat:

  • A piece that's only about as big as your thumbnail.
  • White meat (breast meat).
  • None of the bones, skin, or cartilage.

Costco rotisserie chicken is a beloved treat for all. What cat wouldn't want a little taste?! Thank goodness Costco sells these things in bulk!
