When you're out and about, there are some dogs who you can tell don't want to be bothered, while others are almost begging for a pet and some attention. This Basset Hound puppy named Ellie Mae Love falls into the latter category, and when people walk by without petting her, her feelings get hurt so much that she's looking into filing charges against them.

Tune in as her mom, Wendi, has a live report on the scene, explaining the developing situation. It started with Ellie assuming everybody was at the park to see her, but she quickly realized that was not the case. We'll let Wende share more.

We laughed at Wendi's caption, too. "Puppy considers legal action against non-petters at local park." That's a petition that we'd all sign in support of Ellie!

Funny Reactions to Ellie and Wendi's Breaking News

Like us, viewers got a kick out of watching Wendi's breaking news report about Ellie's plans to file complaints against non-petters at the park, and everybody was definitely Team Ellie. @Britt Collins shared, "Failing to pet a Basset Hound puppy should AT MINIMUM lower your credit score."

@brockth agreed, "I'm writing my congressman today. All pups need pets." @Living the Dev Life shared a picture of his Pit Bull and wanted in, making it a class action suit: "My client will be suing for damages..." @Only Paws added, "Not everything that is legal is moral, laws need to be changed. I stand with Ellie Mae!"

Everybody stands with @Ashley Owen, too, "I vote to pass the 'Pet the puppy' law!"

Commenter @TBoykin was confused. "WHAT other reasons could anyone have to go to the park if not to pet the dogs????????" @Sunny agreed, "I don't trust people who don't stop to acknowledge a cute puppy."

Sounds like everybody should always stop to pet the pups!
