Golden Retriever Mix Meets Her New Brother and Immediately Checks Out
Some dogs will welcome a new sibling with unbridled enthusiasm. And some? Well, it takes a little longer. As is the case with June, the beautiful Golden Retriever mix, who's decided that if she uses all of her brainpower she just might be able to will herself into another dimension entirely.
Her new brother is in the background and someone flipped his switch to "on." He's bouncing, he's pawing, he's flinging himself. And June? Well, she looks like she's trying to recall the exact second everything went completely awry.
Luckily, she's not angry. She's just thinking A LOT. And manifesting the most ridiculously funny, relatable face in the process.

So many guesses in the comments as to what June is thinking: "She's like… 'Soooo, you couldn't have just gotten me another toy?!?'", "What did I do to deserve this?", "We were FINE.", "You still have the receipt to return it, right?", "See that?!…your decision, btw."
Others were just amused by how the new Poodle brother is completely oblivious. "Frolicking in the background, actual effing frolicking," laughed one commenter. "Him frolicking by as the flutes get going is perfect comedic timing," remarked another.
The Science Behind a Dog's "I Can't Do This" Face
It's fairly common when a dog reacts to something new by just stopping and assessing, as opposed to jumping right into the mix or even running away. Sometimes, a dog just can't figure out what to do, and that signal of disengaging is just some mild discomfort and uncertainty when presented with something new or overwhelming or unpredictable.

Think of it as their brain in a buffering moment while it figures out what exactly is going on. Stress hormones get involved, which makes it even harder for the dog to process all this new information. That, of course, adds to the effect and makes a dog look completely deep in philosophical thoughts when, really, they're just trying to figure out how to react.
In June's case, her brother is ready to jump right in and party. And June appears to just be very busy pretending like none of this ever even happened.
