Fidget spinners are the hottest must-have toys of the year. And now Fashion Fair mall has a cart full of them.

Spinner Zone recently set up a mobile cart in the mall’s center court, near Starbucks. The cart sells the shiny spinning gadgets along with other similar toys that have become all the rage.

The spinners were so hot that at one point stores were selling out them. Then, savvy retailers jumped on the latest toy trend. In Fresno, you can find spinners at major retailers like Walmart and Target, as well as grocery stores and convenience stores, including 7-Eleven.

If you haven’t seen one, or played with one, all you do is grip the center of it between your thumb and index finger and spin it. Yes, that’s it. Oh and some of them are shiny. The toy costs as little as $1 and average about $5. It has become a hot commodity for both children and adults.

Forbes magazine said it the must-have office toy of 2017, calling it a clever alternative to the stress ball.

For those are really into the toy, there are videos on how to do tricks with the spinners.

And if you think this is all just a waste of time and money, consider this: the Wall Street Journal reported that sales of fidget spinners topped $2.6 million last month.
