Democratic women to meet May 22
The Fresno County Democratic Women’s Club will meet at 11 a.m. May 22 at Ramada Inn, 324 E. Shaw Ave. Tyler Maxwell, director of outreach and membership for the Fresno Young Democratic Club, will speak. Cost for the luncheon is $20 or $25 after May 17, or $5 for only the program.

Bully Walk set for May 21
Fresno Bully Rescue will hold the two-mile Bully Walk 2017 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 21 at Woodward Park, 7775 N. Friant Road. There will be vendors, game and a photo booth. All breeds of dogs are welcome and proceeds will benefit the no-kill dog shelter. Registration costs $15 per person and park admission is $5 per vehicle.

GOP women to meet May 25
Fresno County & City Republican Women Federated will meet at noon May 25 at Ramada Inn, 324 E. Shaw Ave. The theme of the meeting is “Holding Firm to American Values Within Local School Districts” and speakers include school board members Brooke Ashjian and Steve Fogg. The luncheon costs $20 and reservations must be received by May 18.

Remembering Greek Genocide
The Greek Day of Remembrance will take place 10 a.m. to noon May 19 at Fresno City Hall, 2600 Fresno St. The event commemorates the 101st anniversary of the Greek Genocide of 1916 and will include a flag-raising ceremony, Kamari dancers and prayers of remembrance.
