Fresno breaks ground on new police substation in Fancher Creek neighborhood
Fresno city officials presided over a groundbreaking ceremony Monday afternoon for a new southeast police substation.
It’ll be built adjacent to the planned Fancher Creek Town Center shopping center near Clovis Avenue and Tulare Avenue.
The new station, expected to open by April 2020, replaces the current station on Cedar Avenue south of Butler Avenue. Chief Jerry Dyer said Monday that the old location is no longer centrally located within the southeast Fresno police district.
