Boy Scouts honor Maxwell

The Sequoia Council, Boy Scouts of America honored Jim Maxwell during a dinner on March 26.

Maxwell, the CEO of Agriland Farming Company, Inc., received the Central Valley Distinguished Citizen award for his years of community involvement, civic activities and service, according to John Richers, CEO of Sequoia Council #27.

Over 400 people attended the dinner at Pardini’s to honor Maxwell.

Boys and Girls Club raises $915

Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling Co., Local 155 Union Workers and Planet Fitness employees came together March 22 to raise $915 for the Zimmerman Boys and Girls Club in Fresno.

Employees played basketball and for every point scored, each company donated $5 to support teen programs and events, according to Boys and Girls Club spokeswoman Sandra Chaney.
