The shooting took place about 12:38 a.m. in the 4200 block of West Fountain Way. Lt. Mark Hudson said police received a 911 call by a person who identified himself as Saechao’s brother, who said that he heard several gunshots and went outside with his family, where they found Saechao lying on the ground, not breathing.

Saechao, who had been shot multiple times, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his wounds.

Detectives remained at the crime scene throughout Friday morning. A police crime scene van was parked in front of the house, and evidence markers dotted the street in front of the home. Police blocked Fountain as the investigation took place.

A witness who did not wish to be identified said she knew the slain victim since they were both “in diapers,” and that the victim once attended Central High East. She said she heard about six gunshots.

Another witness, who also did not identify himself, said he heard someone call out to another person shortly before the shooting started.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 559-498-7867.
