Motorcyclist was missing for days. Then his body was found at crash scene.

Jose A. Madrigal, 29, of Fresno, who was reported missing by his family on Jan. 9, was the victim of a solo motorcycle crash discovered Wednesday afternoon west of Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported shortly before 2 p.m. The CHP said a disabled motorist alerted officers after he observed a body close to an embankment near Highway 180 and Brawley Avenues. The investigation determined that Madrigal, riding a 2002 Suzuki Boulevard, was westbound on Whitesbridge Avenue and did not see that the roadway ended ahead. He slammed into a wooden barrier, was thrown to the ground and died at the scene.
