Southern Charm's Taylor Addresses Shep Reunion Rumors After Gaston Split
Southern Charm alum Taylor Ann Green recently broke up with boyfriend of three years Gaston Rojas - but that doesn't mean a reunion with her ex Shep Rose is on the table.
"I have seen the rumors that we're getting back together or hooking up again or whatever, and that is not true," Taylor, 31, said on the Tuesday, June 2, episode of the "Viall Files" podcast. "Even if I wanted to hook up with Shep again or get back together, I would hope I have a little bit more respect for myself to go from one cheating ex to the other."
Taylor announced on Tuesday's podcast episode that she ended her relationship with Gaston, 34, over "fundamental differences" unrelated to accusations that he allegedly cheated on her. (Taylor stated that Gaston has continued to vehemently deny the accusations "to this day." He has not publicly addressed the claims.)
Prior to her relationship with Gaston, Taylor dated Shep, 46, from 2020 to 2022.
"Shep is a very logical human being and he's not the type of person to be like, ‘Yeah, let's do it. Let's get back together,'" Taylor said on Tuesday. "He would inevitably say, ‘No, I don't think that that's the right thing to do.' He cares about me as a human being and has always cared about me very deeply and even in my time of, you know, kind of throwing him under the bus and giving him a lot of s***."
According to Taylor, Shep has "always been there for me" and has continued to support her after her breakup from Gaston.
"He's just had a very big heart for myself, for me and my family, which is big for me," Taylor said. "I did reach out to him after the breakup, and he was kind of beside himself, to be honest. He was like, ‘I cannot believe that you are sitting right here in front of me. I cannot believe that you reached out, I care about you, I think about you all the time.'"
Taylor further claimed that Shep told her that he felt he couldn't reach out because Gaston seemed to be "holding [her] hostage."
"I felt like he was to an extent," she alleged. "I felt very isolated from my friends and definitely people in the cast."
Taylor left Southern Charm in April 2025, citing a pursuit of other business opportunities at the time.
"I needed time away from the show, no doubt, for my mental [health]," she said on Tuesday. "[I am] 1,000 percent happy with the decision that I did walk away, but ultimately, I was held at an ultimatum with my ex saying, ‘Either you go back to the show or you date me.'"
Taylor further noted that she was "already on the fence" before Gaston's alleged ultimatum, and now that she's single, "would love to get [her] job back."
"I think that Shep would love to see that," she added about a potential Southern Charm return. "He wants to see me thrive, and I find that very kind."
