Bravo Goes Back Down South With New Show 'Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives'

Grab your boots, Bravo fans - a new reality show focused on Texas housewives is officially in the works.

Bravo announced during the NBCU Upfront presentation on Monday, May 11, that a new series with the working title Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives has been ordered.

"In the heart of Texas Hill Country is the picture-perfect town of Boerne where wealth, beauty, faith and family reign supreme. Centered on a tight-knit circle of glamorous women, this series follows their lives as they raise families, run ranches and farms and manage sparkling social calendars in a town rooted in rodeos and tradition," the show's synopsis reads. "Behind the polished smiles and Sunday sermons, however, there are intimate relationships and forbidden romances that test loyalties and marriages, jeopardizing the town's pristine image and proving that perfection is far more complicated than anyone could imagine."

Cast members and a release date have not yet been revealed for the upcoming show.

Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives comes after another production company hinted at plans to use Netflix's The Hunting Wives as inspiration for a reality show after the scripted series' success in July 2025.

Production company Ain't That Something Entertainment put out a casting call in August 2025, which read, "A major streaming service, in partnership with @spoke.studios and @aintthatsomethingentertainment, is casting a close-knit circle of Southern friends navigating faith, friendship, and life's untold chapters for a major docuseries."

The post called for "big personalities, big stories" while teasing the working show title: The Real Hunting Wives of the South. According to the official website for Ain't That Something Entertainment, the company has been involved in casting for hit reality TV shows including The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, The Real Housewives of Orange County, Buying Beverly Hills, Below Deck Adventure and The Hills New Beginnings.

Bravo, meanwhile, previously set down roots in Texas with The Real Housewives of Dallas, which ran for five seasons from 2016 to 2021 with Cary Deuber, Stephanie Hollman, Brandi Redmond and more starring.

"There are currently no plans to bring The Real Housewives of Dallas back next year, and beyond that nothing official has been decided," Bravo shared in a statement with Us Weekly in August 2021.

Although the network noted that reality series was not filming new episodes, the show was not canceled and was instead put on an indefinite hiatus.

LeeAnne Locken, who was an original cast member when the show premiered, previously addressed questions about a possible revival.

"I would always love an opportunity [to return]," she told Us in 2024. "I loved doing Housewives."
