Hidden Gem: Aquarius Aquarium

For nearly four decades, Aquarius Aquarium has been providing all-inclusive maintenance to commercial and residential aquariums throughout the Central Valley. Owned by Tom and Aletha Lang, the first client of Aquarius Aquarium was Medical Dental Pharmacy in 1980.

“Our expert staff clean and maintain aquatic habitats for clients — no matter where they purchased their aquariums,” Tom says.

Since starting the company, the husband-and-wife duo has increased their knowledge by staying informed about the latest products through attending regional and national conferences, workshops and seminars. Tom says their hands-on experience comes from working with architects, contractors and interior designers.

In addition to all-inclusive maintenance, Aquarius Aquarium also designs and installs saltwater and freshwater aquariums in various shapes and sizes.

The company serves national retailers and restaurants like Petco, PetSmart, Walmart, Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Red Lobster.

It also serves local medical centers like Valley Children’s Healthcare, Saint Agnes Medical Center and Community Medical Centers.

Recent projects include an in-wall saltwater aquarium for a home remodel, a modification of a 38-gallon bowfront aquarium, a 300-gallon saltwater aquarium at a home in Los Banos. Most recently, the company moved a large tank — and a turtle — so new carpet could be installed.

Services, which are customized to your needs, extend to delivery of frozen and dry quality name-brand fish food and relocating saltwater and freshwater aquariums.
