Last week, Grizzly Fest announced reggae fusion band Slightly Stoopid would headline the May 7 concert at Chukchansi Park in downtown Fresno.

This week, two more performers were added to the lineup: Cold War Kids and Fashawn.

The Cold War Kids are an established indie-rock radio band. In fact, the group had a No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart last year with the single “First.” The Long Beach band is hitting the festival circuit hard this year. It plays Grizzly Fest between slots at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Bottlerock Napa Valley.

Local fans last saw Cold War Kids at Visalia’s Cellar Door in 2013.

Fashawn is almost synonymous with the Grizzly Fest. The event gets its name from Grizzly City, Fashawn’s nickname for Fresno.

The rapper was already known in underground circles when he signed to Mass Appeal last year. The record label, run by from hip-hop icon Nas, released his sophomore album, “The Ecology,” in February.

Tickets for Grizzly Fest are $25 through Monday, Feb. 15, and available online.

More local and regional touring bands will be announced in the coming weeks. More than 20 bands are expected to perform.
