Clad in skin-tight jeans and a pale cowboy hat, Dwight Yoakam is pure California country – a singer that fused Los Angeles rock and roll and Bakersfield twang. He modernized honky-tonk music in the late 1980s. His latest album, “Second Hand Heart,” was released in April on Warner Bros. Nashville. Yoakam was in town last January on an opening slot on Eric Church’s “The Outsider’s” tour. Here, he plays with upstart country singer Sam Outlaw.
