See alternative rock band Surfer Blood at Visalia’s Cellar Door
In just eight years, the Florida quartet Surfer Blood went from indie-rock darlings – a band du jour on Pitchfork and at the CMJ Music Marathon – to a major-label recording act and then back. The band was dropped from Warnor Bros. after the 2013 release of “Pythons.” Its latest album, “1000 Palms,” was released in May on Joyful Noise Recordings. The band is on tour with the indie-pop rockers Cayucas. Details: 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at Cellar Door, 101 W. MAin St., Visalia. Tickets are $15. 559-636-9463, www.snvfoundation.org
