Puscifer brings ‘Money Shot’ tour to Warnors Theatre
Maynard James Keenan has had a busy few months. The progressive-metal singer released an album and kicked off a tour with his experimental electro-rock side project, Puscifer, while handling rumors of an impending album and tour with Tool, the Grammy Award winning alternative-rock metal band he formed in 1990.
Puscifer is known for its odd and intricate live shows. For instance, playing in front of a campfire with a full-sized Airstream trailer as backdrop. Its current tour includes a mid-stage wresting ring and lucha-libre matches, plus a performance from the Luchador wrestling troupe, Luchafer.
“As usual, we prefer to show rather than tell. Odds are if you’ve been a fan of the diverse nature of our performances in the past, you’ll want to go ahead and place those bets,” Keenan said in a release announcing the six-week North American tour, which stop Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Warnors Theatre.
Come January, Keenan will focus his attention on Tool.
After being dormant in 2015, the band recently announced a series of tour dates. Fellow ’90s alt-rockers Primus are set to open.
