Concert news: Skillet headlines Winter Jam tour, coming Nov. 10 to Save Mart Center
There was little doubt that Winter Jam Tour Spectacular would return to the Save Mart Center — now there is a date.
The contemporary Christian tour, which has stopped in Fresno since 2011, will play the arena Tuesday, Nov. 10. Tickets for the show are $10 and available at the door only. No advance tickets are required.
Headlining this year’s tour is the Memphis rock band Skillet, which should be familiar to local audiences. They headlined the similarly themed Roadshow tour in 2014.
The band will be joined by tour founders Newsong, plus Australian duo For King and Country, Jamie Grace, Lincoln Brewster, Family Force 5 and Love and The Outcome, along with reality TV star Sadie Robertson (“Duck Dynasty,” “Dancing with the Stars”) and evangelist Tony Nolan. The tour’s Pre-Jam Party will feature Stars Go Dim, We Are Messengers and OBB.
“We are so excited to bring Winter Jam out West again,” says Newsong singer Russ Lee. “Every year God exceeds our expectations with the ministry that happens. With this year’s unbelievable artist roster, this is sure to be a night of worship and fun not to be missed.”
Founded in 1995, Winter Jam has grown into one of the top tours in the world for total attendance, as reported by Fresno-based trade publication Pollstar. In 2013 it sold a half-million tickets.
